We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance Department.
The Jelson group of companies have a wide range of businesses with our main business being construction (new homes, industrial and commercial), along with transport, manufacturing, hospitality, garages, and plumbing/electrical companies.
This is a full-time position to support the Finance department within the Jelson Group. The role will require you maintain purchase ledger. We are looking for someone who is organised, highly motivated and takes pride in accuracy.

KEY TASKS INCLUDE:

• Matching invoices to delivery notes and price checking
• Chasing authorisation for invoices ready for processing
• Processing invoices \ credit notes across multiple purchase & sub-contract ledger
• Maintaining and keeping up to date HMRC and insurance documents for sub-contractor
• Reconciling supplier statements & resolving any differences
• Dealing with internal/external queries effectively & professionally
• Scanning processed invoices on to system on daily basis.
• Meeting month-end close deadlines & contributing to month-end process
• Setting up vendors & sub-contractor in line with company procedure
• Working flexible hours where required to meet deadlines
• AND such other duties as are within the scope of the job purpose, and the title of the post
• GDPR Compliant at all times

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Processing high volume of purchase & sub-contract invoice.
• Self-motivated, can work independently, as well as team player
• Computer-literate with excel skills
• Strong organisational skills

Desirable:

• Experience of using Dynamic NAV would be beneficial - Desirable
• Knowledge construction industry scheme (CIS) - Desirable
