PURCHASE LEDGER ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Daily, weekly and monthly processing of supplier invoices, ensuring invoices are coded correctly, approved promptly and paid to agreed supplier terms.
  • Building and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance working relationships.
  • Produce effective analysis and reporting for the wider business in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining all operational aspects of the accounts payable ledger and the specific allocated supplier accounts across multiple units.
  • Prompt resolution of supplier queries through effective communication and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support with continual process improvement.
  • Continually maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring that all service level agreements are met.
  • Offering effective analysis of reports, providing additional reporting support as required
  • Reconciliation of data from multiple sources, ensuring that debit balances and unapproved invoices are kept to a minimum.
  • Supporting the Purchase Ledger Month End close processes (accrual calculations and postings, reconciliation of accounts payable to general ledger, investigating reporting and resolution of any discrepancies)

PURCHASE LEDGER ANALYST REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience (12 months +) in a Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Assistant/ Administrative capacity with a desire to develop in a Purchase Ledger career path.
  • The ability to maintain an excellent level of attention to detail in a fast-paced, and sometimes time pressured environment.
  • A proactive work ethic with the ability to complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop trusting and credible relationships across the wider business.
  • The ability to reconcile data from multiple sources with the confidence to challenge discrepancies should they arise.
  • A motivated, flexible, and adaptable attitude.
  • A team player with the ability to work towards team goals and outcomes.
