Description:

We are pleased to be working with a consultancy business based in Oxford City Centre that are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team! This is an excellent opportunity to continue developing in a supportive environment, up to £28,000 + hybrid working.

WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Previous experience OR someone looking for their first role in finance
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Good understanding of Excel (VLOOKUP’s and Pivots)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices ensuring the correct nominal code is used
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and statements
  • Leading the resolution of inquiries an issues related to accounts payable from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and organised accounts payable records
  • Prepare and process weekly payment run
  • Support the Management Accountant with analysis of costs
  • Import weekly credit card transactions
  • Ensure emails, telephone calls and relevant correspondence are followed up promptly
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function
