Description:
We are pleased to be working with a consultancy business based in Oxford City Centre that are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team! This is an excellent opportunity to continue developing in a supportive environment, up to £28,000 + hybrid working.
WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous experience OR someone looking for their first role in finance
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative
- Good understanding of Excel (VLOOKUP’s and Pivots)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Responsibilities:
- Processing supplier invoices ensuring the correct nominal code is used
- Reconcile supplier accounts and statements
- Leading the resolution of inquiries an issues related to accounts payable from both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and organised accounts payable records
- Prepare and process weekly payment run
- Support the Management Accountant with analysis of costs
- Import weekly credit card transactions
- Ensure emails, telephone calls and relevant correspondence are followed up promptly
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function
