OVERVIEW

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position requires strong organisational skills and an ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
This role can be hybrid (after probation) and benefits include: 25 days holiday plus BH, access to perks at work, onsite café and modern office environment. Hours 9-5pm Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a multicurrency purchase ledger or accounts payable role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in using an ERP system
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Process purchase invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions within the purchase ledger.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports related to purchases and supplier accounts.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to address queries or issues regarding invoices or payments.
  • Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as required.
