Purchase Manager- Pharmaceutical Group | UAE
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to lead procurement, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and supply-chain coordination for our leading pharmaceutical/healthcare group in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities across pharmaceutical, healthcare, wellness, and related product categories.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with leading principals, manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers across the region and internationally.
- Identify and negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, commercial agreements/contracts.
- Manage TMA and other supplier-related commercial arrangements.
- Ensure optimal stock availability, inventory levels, purchasing cycles, and working capital management.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, logistics, sales, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure smooth supply-chain operations.
- Support warehouse and inventory management, including stock planning, expiry control, slow-moving items, and replenishment.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, product availability, and opportunities for new principals/products.
- Develop procurement strategies that improve cost efficiency, margins, service levels, and business growth.
Candidate Profile
- 7 - 10 years of relevant industry experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably within Pharma, Healthcare, Wellness, FMCG, Retail, or Distribution.
- Strong UAE/GCC market experience with an established network of principals, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, contracts, supplier management, inventory, and supply-chain operations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage pricing, margins, payment terms, and agreements.
- Bachelor's degree; pharmaceutical/healthcare educational qualification is an advantage.
- Strong communication, relationship-management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
