Job Summary:
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing construction materials, tools, and equipment required for various projects. This role ensures that all procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of Materials:
  • Source and procure construction materials, tools, and equipment based on project needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary to avoid delays in projects.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and update a database of approved suppliers.
  • Build and sustain strong supplier relationships for long-term partnerships.
  • Cost Control:
  • Analyze price proposals and financial reports to ensure procurement remains within budget.
  • Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
  • Logistics Coordination:
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure timely arrival of materials.
  • Monitor shipments and resolve any logistical issues to avoid project delays.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all purchased materials meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to inspect and approve materials upon delivery.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and inventory.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and local regulations during procurement processes.
  • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new products in the construction industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction project timelines and requirements.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per mont
