Description Principal Function: Responsible for managing the stockroom, supply levels, and supplier relationships, working in conjunction with the Business Operations Team to ensure the laboratory and business operations run efficiently so work can be executed in a timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversees, manages, and stocks consumable laboratory stock supply in the B2S Stockroom. • Oversees, manages, and stocks supplies in: • B2S Office Stockroom • B2S Maintenance Stockroom • B2S Shipping and Receiving Stockroom. • Works with laboratory management to ensure the stockroom is updated with current products. • Meets yearly with laboratory staff to ensure stock meets the company’s needs. • Manages expiration dates of supplies and rotates stockroom stock accordingly. • Attend all Business Operations Meetings • Fosters collaborative team interactions between the Business Operations Team and the Laboratory Team. • Provides accurate and timely information and communication with each department and regulatory body. • Manage inventory in VWR Inventory Manager. • Finalizes supply requests and releases purchase orders (POs) to venders and suppliers. • Works with vendors to vet product pricing and supplier performance in order for B2S to receive competitive product pricing. • Sets up suppliers in Salesforce, and works with Business Ops to add vendor in QuickBooks • Manages the distribution of tax forms, new vendor forms, and payment terms. • Other Duties as assigned. Work Environment • The work environment is in an office and laboratory environment. • Potential exposure to pathogens. • Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas according to B2S safety procedures. • While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud • Exposure to dry ice • Exposure to -20 C and -80 degrees Celsius Freezers. • Exposure to Liquid Nitrogen • Frequent use of a computer. • This position requires working independently, as well as part of a team. • This position requires the use of all general office and lab equipment. Physical Demands • Ability to stand more than 2/3 of the time. • Ability to walk more than 2/3 of the time. • Ability to sit more than 2/3 of the time. • Ability to talk or hear from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. less than 1/3 of the time. • Ability to work in extremely cold environments.
