Purchase & Receiver Knutsford 45hours a week £34,000 5 in 7 Working Week Rota Key Responsibilities Receiving & Checking Deliveries Receive all food and non-food deliveries in a timely and professional manner Check quantities against purchase orders and delivery notes Inspect quality, temperature, and condition of all goods upon arrival Reject and report any damaged, incorrect, or substandard items Stock Control & Documentation Accurately record all deliveries in the stock control system Ensure invoices and delivery notes are signed and processed correctly Maintain organised filing of all paperwork for audit purposes Communicate discrepancies immediately to the Head Chef, Purchasing, or Finance teams Storage & Organisation Ensure all goods are stored promptly and correctly using FIFO principles Monitor fridge and freezer temperatures and maintain accurate records Maintain clean, organised, and compliant storage areas at all times Support monthly stock takes and inventory checks Compliance & Standards Adhere strictly to Food Safety, HACCP, and COSHH regulations Maintain 5-star hotel standards for cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism Ensure allergen integrity and full product traceability Support sustainability initiatives and waste control procedures Communication & Teamwork Work closely with Chefs, Purchasing, and Finance departments Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and delivery drivers Escalate any supplier issues promptly to senior management Requirements Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume hospitality environment preferred Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Basic computer literacy (stock systems and email) Good understanding of food safety and stock rotation Physically fit and able to lift and move deliveries safely Personal Attributes Reliable and punctual Professional appearance and attitude Proactive and able to work independently High level of integrity and accountability
