We are looking for an for a Purchaser / Storesperson to join us and become part of our Arrow family in Richmond, BC. Under the direction of the Division Manager, the Stores/Purchaser ensures accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments and parts. Great people work here! For more information about our Arrow Marine division, please go to www.arrow.ca/marine Responsibilities Implement and maintain inventory procedures and controls to ensure accurate and appropriate inventory levels at all times Accurately receive and ship orders, ensuring all shipments have the proper documentation Monitor and re-order stock items, and source equipment and supplies Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand Organize and perform monthly & year-end inventory counts Identify and report any inventory discrepancies, issues with respect to obsolescence, and/or inventory integrity to management on a timely basis Provide guidance and assistance to management and employees in all aspects of purchasing Provide pricing information and advice on materials for project estimates and quotes Review tenders and purchase award documentation with respect to quality, suitability, delivery and pricing of goods and services Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers for best purchasing packages Ensure purchasing information in the system is complete and up to date Work in accordance with all Arrow Marine policies & procedures Keep strong communications between Foreman, Project & Division Managers Keep shop clean and organized Other duties as required by supervisor You Possess Relevant post-secondary education i.e. inventory management, procurement, purchasing, parts management, storesperson, etc. Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant industry experience such as warehousing, inventory management, automotive, mechanical, or marine Ability to work outdoors and in the elements and in an industrial environment as required Strong safety mindset Strong computer proficiency – Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new software applications Solid work ethic, self-starter, and positive team attitude Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent internal and external customer service skills Responsible, accountable, and dependable Demonstrated strong communication skills both verbally and written Excellent problem solving skills Flexibility for shift scheduling Prior forklift experience is an asset Knowledge of marine industry is an asset Embodies Arrow's core values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Responsibility, Teamwork, and Fun! #IND Arrow has been recognized as a Top Fleet Employer of Distinction, a SmartWay Transport Partner, a BCTA Clean Carrier, a BC Hydro Clean Energy Champion and as a Carrier of Excellence in Women's Leadership.
