PROCUREMENT (CONSTRUCTION FOCUS)

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors for construction materials, tools, equipment, and services.
  • Prepare material request forms, obtain quotations, evaluate cost competitiveness, and issue purchase orders (POs) in line with company procedures.
  • Coordinate deliveries to project sites, ensuring timeliness and compliance with project schedules.
  • Monitor inventory of site materials, track usage, and liaise with site supervisors/engineers for material requests.
  • Maintain supplier database and assess supplier performance for reliability, pricing, and quality.
  • Resolve discrepancies relating to deliveries, invoices, or quality issues.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement or administration, preferably within construction / main contractor environment .
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, and site operations is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience in ERP/procurement systems is a plus.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills, with ability to coordinate between suppliers, project teams, and site staff.
  • Able to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
