PAY RATE: $20-$22 PER HOUR

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Purchaser to support our procurement team in managing day- to-day purchasing operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain support role, excellent communication skills, and a working knowledge of international trade—especially with suppliers and partners in the Asian market. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is preferred to effectively communicate with certain vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support role.
  • Proficiency in communicating in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, order management, and vendor relations.
  • Experience working with international suppliers, particularly in the Asian market.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate purchase orders and track procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to follow up on orders, resolve delays, and confirm shipment details.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions, invoices, and delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions and supplier communications.
  • Support sourcing efforts by gathering quotes and comparing pricing, quality, and lead times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs.
  • Assist with customs documentation, shipping coordination, and import/export compliance as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including conducting communications in Chinese when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement team and assist in implementing cost-saving initiatives.
