ABOUT US

Global Auto Body Supplies Ltd. is a leading supplier of auto body repair products across Alberta. With five locations, we provide paint, tools, and collision repair supplies to body shops and DIY customers alike. We are looking for a dedicated Purchaser to oversee purchasing and inventory management across all our Alberta branches, reporting to our SE Calgary location.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Purchaser will be responsible for coordinating and managing all purchasing activities for multiple locations, ensuring consistent inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and driving cost efficiency. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can balance multiple priorities while working closely with managers from each branch.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience (preferably in wholesale, distribution, automotive, or industrial supplies).
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in inventory systems, spreadsheets, and office software.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee purchasing for all Global locations across Alberta.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Process and track purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor stock levels across branches, forecast demand, and consolidate orders where possible.
  • Resolve supply issues including shortages, delays, and discrepancies.
  • Provide regular purchasing and inventory reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and product quality requirements.
