Description

Prime Fasteners & Tools Ltd. is a leading distributor of power tools, fasteners ,hand tools and safety supplies.
We are looking for a highly organized, and detail oriented candidate to join our growing team as a Purchaser at our Edmonton location.

You will work closely with the Branch Manager to:

  • Process materials required for approved sales orders
  • Learn business needs and understand the local markets
  • Monitor inventory prices and changes, negotiating better pricing with main vendors
  • Reviewing/ordering stock based on min/max levels
  • Maintaining min/max levels with market adjustments
  • Run backorder reports to review inventory needs for customers
  • Issue accurate Purchase Orders
  • Complete actions resulting from inaccurate supplier shipments, including investigating the inaccuracy
  • Review and process claims against vendors due to short shipments or damages

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of purchasing practices an asset
  • Knowledge of industrial construction supply preferable
  • Strong proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, but foster a team environment with your department
  • Detail oriented in a fast pace environment
