JOB DETAILS Location: Heerlen, Eindhoven or Born - The Netherlands. Schedule: On-site for the first 4 months. Hybrid (3 days/week on-site) after that. Type of Employment: Full-time. RESPONSIBILITIES Assess and analyze the purchasing needs of internal customers and develop specifications in line with policies and guidelines. Explore the supplier market, reduce the supplier base, and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and performance. Request and compare quotations, propose strategies to improve efficiency, and manage assigned product categories. Provide actionable advice on procurement strategies, processes, and risk managemen. Negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, cost levels, KPIs, and quality standards with suppliers. Manage supplier relationships, address performance issues, and implement corrective actions. Process purchase orders, stock transport orders, and requisitions in the ERP system. Track and manage stock availability and turnover, ensuring timely delivery and addressing shortages or delays. Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems. Maintain and expand professional knowledge and skills through continuous learning. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with MRP-driven requirements planning and technical affinity for engineering components. Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. Proactive, result-driven, and committed to continuous improvement. Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
