MATERIAL PURCHASER/PROJECT COORDINATOR
NorTec Electric is a full-service electrical contractor; we have been servicing Saskatoon and Regina reaching the greater part of Saskatchewan as we continue to grow. We are looking to expand our operations and currently looking for a Material Purchasing/Project Coordinator to join our team. Working side by side with our Project Managers and Superintendents, you will provide Project Coordination support and lead material purchasing for our ongoing and future projects throughout the province.
Our experience has been focused around commercial, and industrial projects local to Saskatoon and Regina and spreading out to smaller municipal locations. Providing a unique experience to those looking to gain exposure in a dynamic organization. We are well versed in servicing all the electrical needs for a wide variety of clients. Being a leader the construction industry, equipping our team of skilled professionals with vision, guidance, and tools required to bring construction projects to life.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS OF THE POSITION WOULD INCLUDE:
· Experience purchasing and working in an administrative role
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Strong attention to detail
· Proven ability to think critically and resolve conflicts that may arise between shared information with sub-trades
· Proven ability to work within a team and independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks meeting tight deadlines

· Receiving purchase requisitions from Project Managers and field staff
· Sourcing and purchasing materials for various jobs at the lowest cost
· Ensuring materials are promptly delivered to sites
· Completing assigned purchase orders
· Coordinating returns with suppliers and staff
· Track and log shop drawings, site instructions and RFI’s
· Communicate information both verbally and written to staff and sub-trades
· Ability to collaborate and communicate with others including staff and sub-trades
· Prepare material take-offs and pricing, assist as with tasks as required
· Assist with record keeping and managing shipments
· Participate in project scheduling and planning
· Assist with preparing reports, LEED daily, and Safety
· Participate in Site Visits and Meeting Minutes
· Must be available for working flexible hours and overtime as required
· Other job duties as assigned
