We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join our team in Beaufort, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee procurement activities, supplier relationships, inventory management, and cost control efforts to support our manufacturing operations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of purchasing processes.

• Manage procurement operations for raw materials, fabricated components, and specialized equipment critical to manufacturing processes.
• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, including domestic and international vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency and value.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain supplier documentation, including certifications, compliance records, and contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels to align with production schedules while preventing overstocking.
• Coordinate with production management to address material requirements and resolve supply issues.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to anticipate fluctuations and mitigate risks.
• Implement cost-saving strategies, including make-versus-buy analyses and other efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
• Proficiency in managing vendor relationships and evaluating supplier performance.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and production support processes.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Ability to analyze market trends and implement cost-control strategies.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively across departments.
