QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, SCMP Certificate or equivalent experience.
· Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement practices, including sourcing, negotiations, and vendor management.
· Proficient in using an ERP system (previous experience with Infor Visual is an asset).
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively is required.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
· Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to adapt to a fast changing and fast-paced environment.
· Manufacturing experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

· Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials, business services and any other products or services required by the business.
· Regularly assess and choose suppliers based on their ability to meet quality standards, pricing, reliability, and other crucial criteria (including periodic reviews and evaluations of existing suppliers).
· Actively negotiate terms, prices, delivery schedules, and other contractual elements with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions for the company, while also maintaining a good relationship with them.
· Collaborate closely with vendors to address any supply chain disruptions, quality issues or delays, implementing solutions to mitigate risks.
· Maintain up-to-date records of supplier agreements, contracts, performance metrics and purchases.
· Oversee the entire ordering process from creating purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery.
· Assess requirements of an establishment and develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased
· Monitor inventory levels, managing order quantities to avoid stockouts/overstock situations.
· Monitor and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring that expenditures are in line with company financial goals, forecasting price trends to make purchasing decisions accordingly.
· Collaborating with internal teams to determine material and equipment needs for manufacturing processes and ensuring products and materials meet quality standards.
· Staying informed about industry trends, market conditions (including logistics), and emerging technologies that could impact the supply chain or procurement strategies.
· Maintain involvement with logistics suppliers for best and delivery of goods shipped by Vessel, Air or Ground.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulatory requirements while performing procurement activities.
· Create CUSMA Certificates and maintain Country of Origin Declarations in relation to importing and exporting product and materials.
