THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
· 5+ years’ experience working as a purchaser or buyer in a manufacturing company
· 3+ years’ experience working with an ERP system
· Experience with MS office programs
· Basic knowledge and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Strong understanding of vendor negotiations, order expediting, and procurement processes.
· Interest in expanding technical knowledge within mechanical manufacturing.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Purchaser plays a critical role in ensuring that the right materials, parts, and components are sourced, ordered, and delivered on time, in the most cost-effective way possible. Working closely with operations, suppliers, and internal teams, you will manage day-to-day procurement activities, support production schedules, and uphold Hevvy/Toyo’s high standards for quality, cost, and delivery.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of suppliers, including those producing custom castings, machined components, and other specialized OEM parts for our manufacturing operations in Canada, United States, Australia and Latin America.
