THE OPPORTUNITY

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Purchasing Admin/Officer to join the Operations & Supply Chain team based in Archerfield, QLD. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.
Based on-site at our busy production hub, you’ll be right at the centre of the action, supporting critical purchasing activities that directly impact our customers, sites, and our commercial outcomes. Responsibilities

As a customer-centric professional working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll process and manage purchase orders for consumables, materials, and stock across multiple sites state-wide. You’ll also:

  • track and follow up orders, keeping things moving and stakeholders informed
  • review and convert requisitions, and maintain accurate records and data
  • liaise daily with suppliers, transport, stores, scheduling, and internal teams
  • analyse, resolve and communicate purchasing issues and supplier queries
  • monitor the quality of supplier service through vendor ratings and accounts payable
  • contribute to process improvement initiatives, including supporting the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP)
