JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and supplies necessary for our operations. This role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and the ability to effectively utilize MRP systems to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. The Purchaser will play a crucial role in maintaining cost efficiency while building strong relationships with suppliers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement roles is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor management.
  • Familiarity with sourcing strategies and market analysis techniques.
  • Experience using MRP systems such as SAP is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Buy materials and supplies from various vendors while ensuring the best possible price and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage vendor relationships to maintain effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Source new suppliers and evaluate their offerings to ensure alignment with company requirements.
  • Utilize MRP systems, including SAP, to track inventory levels, forecast needs, and manage procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements for fabrication and production needs.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing strategies to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
