Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Inventory Manager, the responsibilities of role include:

  • Assisting with minimum and maximum stock levels and ordering of stock
  • Negotiating and implementing cost effective purchasing processes
  • Ensure best value for money is achieved for the company’s expenditure
  • Coordinate the vendor qualification process and maintain records for this process
  • Coordinate international vendor manufacturing lead times to ensure adequate stock is available
  • Provide suppliers with rolling forecasts and respond to supplier queries as required
  • Ensure that all purchasing process comply to company ISO9001:2008 Standards
  • Effectively manage the good return, credit and warranty processes
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders/supplier shipping agents to arrange shipping / custom clearance as required in relation to imports / goods inwards
  • Assist with rolling order forecasts for all products and product groups
  • Organise warehouse materials, inventory warehouse layout and coordinate stocktakes
  • Complete the Bill of Materials and Job Costing
  • Update stock descriptions and part numbers and creditors where required
