Description

As a purchasing agent, you will be a vital part of our operations, utilizing core skills in purchasing, distribution, inventory control, light shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow company policies and procedures for store functions.
- Comply with regulations for handling aviation parts.
- Verify orders for accuracy.
- Help coordinate shipping activities.
- Process necessary paperwork.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Match parts to open work orders.
- Assist AMEs in finding aircraft components.
- Receive and ship parts.
- Resolve customer and supplier issues, including paperwork problems.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Calculate costs and set prices for parts.
- Organize AOG parts effectively.
- Maintain filing systems.
- Conduct regular inventory checks (cycle counts).
- Track and follow up on repair orders.
- Occasionally confirm and sign for deliveries.
- Help unload deliveries and provide the weigh bill to receiving staff.
- Pick parts for work orders as needed.
- Restock consumable items.
- Willing to learn the use of a pump truck and/or forklift
- Complete other tasks assigned by the chargehand or manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Friendly and personable with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have a personal vehicle.
- Ability to multitask.
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a production or store environment.
- Experience in aviation and familiarity with Quantum MX is a bonus.
