JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that our inventory levels meet expectations while optimizing costs. The Purchasing Agent will play a crucial role in sourcing scrap materials from recycling facilities, decom, and industrial manufacturing throughout Texas and the surrounding states.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role, or door-to-door sales would also suffice.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail in price analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and logistics, to forecast demand and align purchasing activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to material quality or delivery timelines.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance for management review.
