Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for sourcing and procuring parts, maintaining inventory of stores, and issuing repair parts, supplies and equipment valued more than #$3MM per annum. Position will source locally, nationally and leverage existing supplier agreements.

ESSENTIAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Working under supervision; sources, purchases and arranges timely deliveries of assigned items, supplies, and materials to meet business needs. Act as liaison between suppliers and internal customers, expediting as needed, to ensure deadlines are met.
  2. Stewards company resources by planning, managing, and coordinating all activities related to the timely sourcing and cost-effective procurement of necessary materials and supplies on equipment related asphalt and aggregate plants.
  3. Verify purchase requisitions and manage inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels
  4. Cultivate relationships and utilize existing supplier agreements and negotiated discounts to yield lower costs, best value and delivery lead times.
  5. Assist in research and resolution of purchase orders, verifying receipt, specifications, quantity and pricing.
  6. Track and report order status to internal customers and stakeholders. Providing purchasing plans and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends in support of enterprise continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Identify and participate in continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and cost reductions.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma, or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics System Engineering, or a closely related field of study preferred · Previous MRO inventory maintenance experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel · Familiarity or ability to learn Trimble Vista and B2W Maintain · CMMS (View Point) MRO inventory maintenance experience · A customer service orientation and interpersonal skills necessary to facilitate minimization of equipment downtime. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Maintain a safe and secure work environment by complying with government standards and regulations. · Intermittent operation of forklift and light construction equipment possible

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

  • Understand, comply with and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
  • May be required to travel for business on occasion
