Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Purchasing Agent. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Availability to work 1st shift (7am-3:30pm). Required: High School/GED diploma or another equivalency. Preferred: 2-year bachelor’s degree in business or related field Prior buying/purchasing role preferred in a Manufacturing or Warehouse environment. Preferred: A minimum of 2 years in a position that includes material and inventory control. Preferred knowledge of ERP systems and managing vendor relationships. Must be able to sign and abide by LMT Defense’s company employee handbook and confidentiality agreement. Required to successfully complete a full background check, job physical and drug screening. Must be able to professionally communicate through verbal, written, and electronic forms of communication. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be teamwork oriented. Computer literacy at a level of competence to be able to effectively execute all departmental transactions as well as operating in a support capacity to internal customers. Must demonstrate effective time management skills. Must be able to effectively use and navigate Microsoft office applications and other technological platforms as needed. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Representation of the company with external contacts including customer relations and vendor relations. Daily Review of LMT Purchase Orders and Outside Services while acting as needed to maintain on-time delivery and manage costs. Purchasing materials and supplies in a manner that balances quality, cost, and delivery. Assist as needed to ensure all material coordination is organized, 5S is maintained, and digital and physical transactions match to include managing stocking levels and reorder points. Ensuring compliance with all applicable government (including Federal, State and Local) laws, statutes, and regulations. Must stay current with cross training for department to ensure depth in all departmental processes. Ensuring the effective processing of all transactions through LMT’s processes to ensure that all support requirements are met. On-going collaboration and communication with all departments to ensure common understanding of departmental issues affecting throughput and the delivery schedule. Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
