Purchasing Agent

List Industries Inc., a leader in the locker and shelving industry, is looking to hire a purchasing agent. This position is responsible for:

  • Creating purchase orders from requisitions
  • Interacting with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedules
  • Completing data entry and filing paperwork
  • Obtain price quotes from multiple suppliers
  • Run reports to help determine needs
  • Prepare purchase orders or bid requests
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers and confirm deliver date, quantity ordered and price
  • Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery and product quality/performance
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control, users, vendors and others to determine the source of trouble and take corrective actions.

This position is full time. Hours are typically 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and 401k + match. We are a drug free workplace. ADA/EEOC compliant.
