We’re Hiring: Purchasing & Inventory Assistant Location: Barbados Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting management with procurement activities and ensuring smooth, efficient inventory management in a retail environment. Key Responsibilities Order Forecasting & Stock Replenishment: Forecast orders to avoid out-of-stock (OOS) situations and coordinate with vendors for timely replenishment. Vendor Coordination & Order Management: Communicate with vendors, manage delivery schedules, follow up on discrepancies, and source substitute items as needed. Item Maintenance & Pricing: Maintain product data, assist with pricing strategies, and verify correct sales floor signage. Market Research & Price Changes: Conduct regular competitive market studies and execute price adjustments accordingly. Stock Rotation & Shelf-Life Control: Monitor shelf life, manage stock rotation, and ensure timely removal of close-dated items. Inventory Management: Support stock rotation, manage pricing of critical inventory, and coordinate transfers between warehouses. Returns & Rejections: Manage vendor returns and rejections due to pricing or quality issues. Invoice Processing: Accurately and promptly process invoices for received goods into the inventory system. Qualifications Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related role. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Why Join Us?
