JOB SUMMARY:

One of the last, and largest U.S. manufacturers of convention and trade show credentials is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing and Procurement Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of raw materials and components used in the production of our products. The ideal candidate will maintain strong supplier relationships, ensure timely delivery of materials, and work closely with production and operations to meet manufacturing schedules.
Since 1985, KLEERTECH has provided distinctive branded products to large and small, national and regional events (think COMIC-CON and SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST). We offer on-the-job training and opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities
  • Source and procure materials such as plastics, laminates, fasteners, clips, packaging supplies, and printing components.
  • Evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and service; identify and qualify new vendors when necessary.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize value and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders based on production schedules and lead times.
  • Work closely with production and planning teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled manufacturing runs.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records including POs, receipts, supplier information, and cost data.
  • Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or quality issues.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and supply reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate returns or replacements for defective or incorrect shipments.
