JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process by managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain logistics and proficiency in ERP systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement/ERP systems is preferable.

Responsibilities
  • Answering the main switchboard phone, directing calls and taking messages
  • Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures
  • Monitor order confirmations, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies, equipment and services
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Update and manage ERP/MRP systems with procurement data
  • Support stock level monitoring and reordering of critical items
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the purchasing department.
  • Ensure all purchasing activity is compliant with company policies and quality standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes
