JOB SUMMARY: The Purchasing Assistant I provides essential support to the Purchasing Department in maintaining the efficient and timely flow of goods, materials, and supplies throughout Hamilton Health Center. This position assists with verifying, processing, and receiving purchase orders; preparing and delivering materials to departments and satellite offices; and ensuring accurate communication and recordkeeping for all purchasing-related activities. BENEFITS OFFERED In addition to a base salary, employees may be eligible to receive, in accordance with the employee handbook: * Generous paid time off  * Birthday holiday and 7 paid federal holidays * Medical, dental, and vision coverage * Company-paid life insurance * Retirement plan with matching opportunity * Employee Assistance Program WHAT YOU’LL DO: Procurement & Order Processing * Process and verify purchase requests using Microix and Integral systems. * Ensure timely receipt and documentation of goods and materials. * Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders and deliveries. * Prepare supplies for distribution to Hamilton departments and satellite locations. Inventory & Distribution Support * Deliver materials to assigned departments, ensuring proper handling and confirmation. * Assist with employee apparel sorting and delivery. * Support the receipt, tracking, and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Maintain organization of storage areas and supply inventory. Administrative Support * Assist with filing, data entry, and other departmental administrative duties. * Communicate purchasing updates and delivery schedules to internal stakeholders. * Participate in required training and continuous learning initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: Education: * High School diploma or GED required. * Associate degree or formal business/technical education preferred. Experience: * Minimum of one (1) year of experience in purchasing, administrative support, or a related field. Additional Requirements: * Reliable transportation to travel between Hamilton locations and service areas. * Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. * Ability to lift and transport light-to-moderate packages and supplies as part of daily duties.
