Description POSITION SUMMARY: A dedicated individual with the capability to work in a fast-paced environment, great interpersonal skills and able to communicate with vendors. Having business knowledge of working in an office setting. A person who will is a good steward of the Isaiah House ministry. Upholding to the policies and procedures of Isaiah House and holding themselves in a professional manner. JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS: Communicate with direct supervisor about scheduling Follow the guidelines for all company feeds and policies in place. Search pricing to be submitted on Purchase Orders Notify staff member of approvals or updated details of ordering/shipping Attach all proper receipts, papers, information to Purchase Orders and follow process for data entry on all levels before filing Communicate with Inventory Clerk to ensure that inventory is stocked and always maintained depending on seasonal needs. Items low in stock will need a Purchase Order submitted. Keep work area clean and safe at all times to prevent accidents. Requirements Accounting ie. Purchase Orders, Invoices, Receipts and Data Entry Proficiency in Microsoft word/excel Record Keeping ie. Make organizational charts and keep updated records, supply control Attention to detail Communication Personnel skills ie. Able to communicate with vendors, clients, team members in a professional mannerism Research skills ie. Being able to shop for the best prices factoring in quality vs. quantity and able to produce several comparisons
Responsibilities
The Purchasing Assistant will communicate with the supervisor regarding scheduling and follow company guidelines for purchase orders. They will also ensure inventory is maintained and assist in the data entry process for all purchasing activities.
