Description The Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team by assisting with purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely ordering and delivery of goods and materials. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in procurement, supply chain, or operations. Responsibilities & Duties: Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Work with the company's purchasing managers based on receiving needs and requirements for production and office products Keep the KRC Independence, KY shop in a clean and well-organized condition, including directing vendors who perform janitorial, landscaping, or other maintenance services Perform purchasing functions once trained and as directed by the Purchasing Manager, such as issuing purchase orders (POs), invoice creation, pricing verification, payment authorization, and complete entries into the accounting system Input and maintain an online database of all products; maintain daily inventory update Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts, and the month-end reconciliation process as directed; research any variances and report to Purchasing the appropriate inventory adjustments Manage the KRC Projects Division fleet vehicle maintenance and inventory. Position requires local travel for supplies, parts, or delivery to local 3rd party vendors. Skills: Experience in purchasing and inventory control management ERP experience (Epicor preferred) Experience and proficiency in database management, analyzing, and reporting data regarding inventory Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and ability to exercise independent judgment Must be detail-oriented and possess strong collaboration skills Clear/concise reports indicating key issues to management Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written medium Bilingual skills helpful (English and Spanish) Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited high school; some college is desirable Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, record-keeping software Valid driver’s license and ability to be covered by KRC automotive insurance KRC MACHINE TOOL SOLUTIONS OFFERS COMPETITIVE WAGES AND EXCELLENT BENEFITS, INCLUDING: Training & Tuition Reimbursement Company-paid Uniforms and Cell Phones Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays.
