PURCHASING ASSISTANT

Our client in Luton is looking for a dedicated Purchasing Administrator to join their growing procurement team.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of essential goods and services. We need someone who can confidently make decisions, consistently meet targets, and perform effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to source, request quotes and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Assist in the creation, processing and updating of purchase orders on the SAGE system.
  • Maintain and check accurate records of purchases, pricing and delivery information.
  • Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory control activities.
  • Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Support the supply chain by liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Help source new and existing products from abroad and the UK
  • Liaise with the Operations team to ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained of main core product lines
  • Update internal systems regarding product pricing, producing reports/spread sheets as and when required
