JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the procurement process by managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and proficiency in various purchasing systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with purchasing systems such Sage is advantageous as well as having on site manufacturing experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.

  • Maintain and update supplier information, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues related to shipments.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in forecasting future purchasing needs based on sales trends.
  • Support the supply chain team in data analysis and reporting to improve purchasing efficiency.
