The Purchasing Associate supports business operations by ordering products and materials in alignment with Greenbridge’s standards. This role involves managing supplier relationships, placing orders based on inventory and project needs, and ensuring timely delivery from manufacturers to company warehouses or retail locations. Requirements Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to source components Perform vendor research and selection to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and vendors Use quarterly and annual data to forecast purchasing needs and manage inventory Manage purchase orders, monitor shipping schedules, and maintain accurate purchase records Verify supplier confirmations for accuracy, input details into our system, maintain precise purchase records, and coordinate with the engineering department regarding orders and delivery timelines. Work with engineering and accounting teams to reconcile deliveries against purchase orders Conduct ongoing market research to identify favorable purchase agreements and new vendor opportunities Follow up with suppliers on open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and proactively communicate with the production department to eliminate surprises. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing role Strong understanding of equipment manufacturing environments Knowledge of purchasing functions, inventory control, and supply management systems Proficiency in spreadsheets and purchasing software (JobBoss2 and JDE) Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently while maintaining vendor relationships Strong analytical skills
