Diamond Vogel has a full-time opening for a Purchasing Buyer in Orange City, Iowa. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Finance
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing or relevant supply chain role
  • Experience using MRP to support supply chain activities; experience using ERP software in a discrete manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of data management software (MS Access, MS Excel); intermediate knowledge of standard business software (MS Word, MS PowerPoint)

Responsibilities
  • Managing assigned inventory parts and supplier portfolio ensuring transparency of spending; managing inventory levels within assigned portfolio
  • Issuing purchase orders and resolving quality issues with authorized suppliers
  • Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement; suggesting methods to optimize spending and minimize risks
  • Prioritizing daily workflow to maximize efficiency of production operations—managing personal, team, and corporate KPIs to meet company profitability targets
  • Interacting with external key suppliers and stakeholders as well as cross-functional internal teams
