JOB PURPOSE:
The role has the core responsibility of identifying and managing its Supplier Base from both a strategic and operational support perspective, driving best value in terms of cost, quality and service throughout the lifecycle of each product.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver on both Purchasing objectives and KPI’s as directed by the leadership team
To execute the buying and sourcing strategy for assigned group of commodities and/or suppliers.
Be responsible for Supplier Selection and Supplier Management to ensure that Quality, Delivery, Cost, Service and inventory targets are achieved working with Purchasing Commodity Teams and in line with current/future technologies to meet New Product Introduction roadmap requirements.
Generate Supplier Agreements to define prices, lead-times, replenishment mechanisms, trading terms & conditions with Supplier base. This shall include agreements with long-term partner suppliers involved in multi-year commitments. Maintain and update said agreements and create and maintain agreements log.
Work in line with the Departmental process flow charts and documentation to support site wide quality certification. Executing uniform processes, methods and tools within the Purchasing organisation.
Work and share best practice with the Purchasing team and cross functionally with other departments to deliver on agreed objectives/special projects.
