REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Purchasing Coordinator will support our Senior Buyers with the daily operations of our purchasing and logistics department. You’ll assist with everything from data entry and supplier communication to product sampling and logistics. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping a team-first attitude.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data entry: item creation, product info, and receiving documents from the warehouse
  • Purchase samples both locally and through e-commerce for new products
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers
  • Verify goods received are accurate and undamaged
  • Maintain inventory and purchase records
  • Communicate regularly with vendors and suppliers
  • Stay current with industry trends and product research
  • Arrange shipments of samples locally and internationally
  • Organize and maintain sample rooms
  • Support the purchasing team by gathering and relaying item information
  • Build and maintain long-term supplier/vendor relationships
  • Reach out to suppliers (existing and new) by email, calls, cold calls, and at trade shows
  • Work with transportation carriers for shipment quotations and scheduling pickups
