SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with using MRP, 2 Years plus is essential
  • 1 year’s experience in Purchase Order Management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • SAP, particularly the purchase order experience
  • Previous Manufacturing and Inventory Management Experience
Responsibilities
  • Creating purchase orders for Raw Materials, Packaging and Bought-In products, for the production site and external warehouses
  • Ensuring that all materials arrive on schedule and meet the requirements
  • For direct and indirect spend, where not under the control of the central team, select appropriate suppliers and negotiate prices and other relevant parameters, to achieve the most cost-effective outcome
  • Utilising MRP/SAP to manage inventory levels of finished product, raw materials and packaging, consistent with guidelines and financial targets
  • Collaborating with the Central Sourcing department on market consultation or information about suppliers and estimated demands, as well as the introduction of new materials/suppliers
  • Establishing and maintaining a good relationship with suppliers
  • Working with all internal stakeholders to minimise slow-moving inventory and reduce the levels of redundant materials
  • Control relevant aspects of the introduction of new materials, working with the key stakeholders
  • Raising the necessary new item requests or change requests, and ensuring that the relevant information is present in MRP
  • Analysing and reporting on Backorders and Service Level every week
