Description

Duties include, but not limited to, the following: * Handleall activities related to the procurement of raw material to support the organizations production needs. * Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvements within the supply base. * Aggregate and leverage total raw materials purchasing, lead price negotiations, understand and negotiate material specifications. * Develop and maintain steelsupply base that will maximize the organizations profitability by achieving world-class quality, delivery, innovation and cost. * Facilitate in our area the development of an ongoing strategic purchasing plan that encompasses all planned related actions to meet growth, improve operational efficiency, improve quality and cost. * Analyze steel market trends, global supply/demand, global economic factors,cost drivers and use data to develop sourcing strategies across multiple OEMs. * Other tasks assigned by head of department Qualifications Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management. 5 - 10 years experience in metal procurement, preferably within the automotive industry or steel industry. Additions: Skills and attributes include: (1) Innovative problem-solving capabilities. (2) Strong written and verbal English communication skills. (3) Ability to relate and interact with steel mill/ colleagues at all levels. (4) Ability to efficiently manage multiple activities simultaneously, achieving excellent results. (5) Demonstrated ability to analyze processes and identify opportunities for improvement. (6) Travel within China is required.

Responsibilities

The Purchasing Engineer will handle procurement activities for raw materials to support production needs and coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineers for continuous improvements. They will also analyze market trends and develop sourcing strategies to maximize profitability.
