Description Role Summary The Purchasing leader is responsible for leading the purchasing department to achieve the company's objectives in terms of cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation. Essential Functions Work closely with buyer to solve any issue they need during the daily work. Manage team members’ workload and make adjustments if necessary. Backlog Management, regular check team’s open order and do expedite with vendors. Collaborate with buyers to work with supplier to solve PO fall down cases. Work with buyers to regular review vendor map for each commodity, heads up for any new sources. Monitor buyers’ REQs, make sure covered key vendors and not miss any good offer which list in relative website. Work closely with sales team, to know the detail of the opportunities, especial for cost saving list what is the requirement for customer. Continue develop and implement purchasing strategies and processes to ensure cost-effective procurement. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to read, write correspondence, and communicate with all members of the organizations, customers, and vendors (internal and external) in a clear, easily understood manner in English. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Able to work under pressure and effectively manage stress. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Goal-oriented, ambitious, extremely motivated. Professional demeanor. Flexibility – overtime may be required evenings and weekends.
