ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Manager to oversee all purchasing activities within our company. In this role, you’ll manage vendor relationships, ensure materials are sourced and procured on time, and maintain tight control over material budgets to keep our projects running smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source and maintain strong vendor relationships; manage Unit Price Files for all materials.
  • Review estimates to confirm proper nesting and pricing of materials before completion.
  • Purchase direct job materials and coordinate stock material levels with accounting.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure timely procurement of long lead time materials.
  • Process work orders based on Production Manager direction and project priorities.
  • Verify receiving documentation, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage material budgets and proactively communicate any potential overruns to management.
  • Maintain and distribute shipping schedules; ensure proper tracking of Material Test Reports.
