Description

Rapidly growing eCommerce company looking for a motivated Purchasing Manager.

  • Work within an International Group structure that requires adherence to internal requirements and expectations.
  • Daily interaction with counterparts in China to achieve goals.
  • Maintain an external awareness of the industry and related purchasing trends, global material shortages and new technology as it relates to the products produced.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
  • Work closely with other department team members and Managers during new product development/redesign phase to ensure purchased product costs, quality standards and product availability fall within the established criteria of the Company/Project.
  • Represent company(s) in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  • Ensures all purchased costs are up to date, vendor quality and delivery commitments are met.
  • Review supplier contracts with the purchasing team and relay necessary information to the quality and production groups as needed.
  • Work with Accounting and Management to reconcile all outstanding payment issues in a timely manner to prevent delays in product delivery or services.
  • Provide guidance to the companies Continuous Improvement Program when dealing with Purchased or Procured products and services for the project(s).
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Responsible for customs compliance and duty drawback documentation.
  • Engage in vendor negotiations to obtain competitive quotes and optimal pricing.
  • Entry and submission of all purchase requests while adhering to purchasing and approval processes.
  • Handle international transportation processes and work with ocean carriers.
  • Update shipment status, issue arrival notice and obtain entry documents for customs entries. Communicate with customs brokers to confirm customs release status.
  • Quality control audits on each container received
  • Reconcile Receiving Errors with Shipping
  • Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Follow up with suppliers, as needed to confirm or change orders
  • Customs clearance follows up with customs specialized broker.
  • Manage all cross-border and global logistics activities in close coordination with suppliers, freight forwards, transportation carriers, and warehousing/third-party logistics service providers
  • Manage product database (MOQs, Packaging info, weight, volume, price lists)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
