Purchasing Manager
Obtain required materials list from Engineering department based on project specifications.
 Compare required materials list to existing inventory to determine purchasing needs.
 Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list, clarifying unclear items, and recommending alternatives.
 Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price.
 Obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items if necessary, and obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
 Schedule deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
 Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered. Resolve any discrepancies with supplier/vendor.
 Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
 Authorize invoice for payment by matching invoice to receiving documentation
. Provide purchase planning and control information by collecting and analyzing data & trends. Responsible for managing stockroom staff& monitoring inventory stock levels.
 Build and maintain supplier/vendor relationships.
 Seek and recommend process improvement opportunities. Perform other duties as required by Management.
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field.
 A minimum of 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.  Ability to negotiate with suppliers/vendors.
 At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
 Strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,515.09 - $89,738.60 per year
