JOB DESCRIPTION

Diamond Chemical Co., a national manufacturer of institutional and industrial soaps and detergents seeks a highly motivated and dynamic Purchasing Manager. Candidate must be a strong, proactive, hands-on, team player with experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, etc.
• Supervise and assist in the purchase, receipt and distribution of raw materials, equipment, packaging requirements and supplies.
• Place orders with vendors and schedule and coordinate bulk deliveries with vendors.
• Review and determine the appropriate method of procurement.
• Establish procurement plans and schedules in accordance with best practices and company policies.
• Prepare, review and processing of requisitions and purchase orders.
• Insure bulk shipments are listed and kept up to date using a shipping/delivery schedule.
• Insure vendor/product files are kept up to date reflecting accurate (current) costs.
• Review open order report and expedite orders as needed.
• Attend and record daily meeting.
• Work with A/P regarding any invoice pricing discrepancies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
