Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and vendor management within the fashion, luxury goods, or retail industry. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing high-end pre-owned luxury items, ensuring authenticity, quality, and market competitiveness. You will oversee supplier relationships, manage purchasing budgets, and support inventory planning to meet the evolving needs of our clientele. This is a critical role within our organization, requiring excellent negotiation, market awareness, and communication skills to drive profitability and maintain our brand reputation in the competitive luxury retail market.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to source high-quality pre-owned luxury goods (e.g., handbags, watches, jewelry) in line with market demand and company objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with trusted suppliers, consignors, and industry partners to ensure authenticity, exclusivity, and competitive pricing.
• Oversee the full procurement cycle, including supplier negotiation, purchase agreements, and authentication processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with sales and operations teams to align purchasing with customer demand and seasonal trends.
• Conduct ongoing market research to track pricing trends, product availability, and competitor activity within the luxury retail market.
• Ensure all purchased items meet the company’s standards of quality and authenticity, collaborating with in-house authentication specialists where required.
• Manage purchasing budgets and deliver cost efficiencies without compromising product quality or brand positioning.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier performance reports, addressing issues promptly to safeguard business interests.
• Stay up to date with luxury fashion and resale industry trends to proactively adjust purchasing strategies.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Luxury Management, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing, preferably within the luxury retail, resale, or fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of luxury brands, product categories (handbags, watches, jewelry), and current market trends.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, consignors, and industry partners.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms while ensuring product quality and authenticity.
• Solid knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail in contract management and supplier evaluation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across sales, operations, and authentication teams.
• Minimum of two years of experience in luxury retail, preferably within the second-hand or vintage market.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, with excellent communication skills.
