SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

This position will have the responsibility of managing our purchasing team in the planning, forecasting, and procuring of all raw materials to support operations. This will be a hands-on position requiring active involvement in the managing of vendors, sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and leading cost-saving initiatives. The position will provide leadership to the development and maintenance of key metrics and analysis associated with procurement and sourcing.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or equivalent degree and experience preferred
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably within a management role
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • A sense of urgency and ownership is required.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with the development and tracking of key performance indicators for Supply Chain. This will include KPI’s surrounding labor, costs, inventory and other company metrics and Operations-related departmental metrics.
  • Lead the development of internal reporting for Supply Chain related issues.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly and/or monthly dashboards, as well as internal performance scorecards.
  • Identifies and recommends enhancements to supply chain systems to improve performance.
  • Works closely with vendors to support the overall operation. This may include contract negotiation, price negotiation, leading cost save initiatives, supplier corrective actions, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
