Position: Purchasing Manager Location: Hudson, MA (on-site) Schedule: Monday to Friday (based on business needs) Compensation: $75,000 -$85,000 (Dependent on Experience) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain management, and procurement (specifically the Plastic Injection Mold industry), with expertise in ERP systems. This role is crucial in ensuring that our organization maintains optimal inventory levels, negotiates favorable contracts, and builds strong relationships with suppliers to support our manufacturing processes. Essential Functions: Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract negotiation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals and optimize inventory management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage materials requirements planning. Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods. Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions. Oversee the logistics of product delivery and ensure effective inventory control measures are in place. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. Lead efforts in continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function. Work with distribution companies to source products across all company divisions. Adhere and enforce corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Requirements Ideal Candidate Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing or buying, specifically in plastic injection molding materials and resins. Proven experience in procurement management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly IQMS Proficient in sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and pricing strategies. Established network and business relationships with suppliers and vendors. In-depth knowledge of resins and material requirements for industries such as medical and automotive. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities effectively. Professional verbal and written communication skills.
