Working within the UK purchasing team, the Site Purchasing Manager will lead the local purchasing department to identify and deliver cost savings in accordance with the Purchasing strategies to include:

• Assisting with the implementation of a category management approach.
• Utilising SAP MRP to manage inventoried spare parts.
• Day to day supervision of the purchasing team.
• Conversion of Purchase orders in accordance with the purchasing policy.
• Sourcing non-stock engineering parts.
• Implementing service contracts as required by the business.
• SAP MM key user for the plant.
• Using efficient stock control measures to manage the central stores to ensure security of parts, optimum working capital overhead and a high level of stock accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience for Maintenance Manager Mechanical;

Essential

• MCIPS or working towards
• Purchasing experience gained from heavy industry / manufacturing
• MRP experience
• Building stakeholder relationships
• SAP knowledge / qualification

Desirable

• People management experience
• Contracts experience
• Supplier Management
