JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for negotiating prices, managing supply chain operations, and ensuring that materials are procured efficiently to meet production needs. This role requires a strong understanding of purchasing systems and the ability to effectively manage vendor relationships to ensure the best outcomes for our organization.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree.
A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of related experience in purchasing management.
Experience using procurement software and databases.
Knowledge of customer procedures for import/export
Knowledge of CRM/ERP programs
Proficient in Excel

  • Develop a purchasing strategy.
  • Reviews and processes purchase orders.
  • Communicate with the marketing and sales team to effect working strategies
  • Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
  • Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
  • Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
  • Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
  • Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
  • Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
  • Keeps up with trends in procurement.
  • Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
  • Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance
  • Communicate with the marketing and sales team to effect working strategies
